Dua Lipa is an English musician and singer who was born on the 22nd of 1995 in London United Kingdom. She decided to sign to Warner Bros Records in 2014 following her work as a model and released her self-titled debut album in the year 2017. The album peaked at number three in the U.K. Albums Chart and produced eight singles including Be The One I.D.G.A.F as well as her U.K. number-one single New Rules which peaked at Six in United States. Lipa received the Brit Awards for British Female solo artist and British breakout act in the year 2018. The album was certified as platinum throughout the world. Dua Lipa, was born to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London on August 22, 1995. She is the maternal grandmother of Bosnian. Her ancestors can also be tracked back to the Kosovo town of Peja. Both of her grandparents were historians. Lipa has a brother Gjin Lipa, and a younger sister Rina. Lipa was heavily influenced by music by her father, who is leader guitarist and vocalist for the Kosovan Rock band Oda. The family was a place where her father continued to play music such as his own compositions and songs by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Sting The Police and Stereophonics. Lipa began singing around the age of five. at the age of nine she began singing in Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa has covered songs like If I Ain't Got You as well as Beautiful from Christina Aguilera and posted it on YouTube. In the year 2014 Lipa had signed a recording contract with Warner Bros. Records. In August 2015 her debut single New Love came out.
