Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American writer and designer who has been awarded numerous prizes for her writing and design. She advocates the rights of animals. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway 1972 are among her most famous movies. The desire to become an artist was inspired by her upbringing within the New York family of artists. She started as a photographic assistant before moving on to modeling and acting. She was noticed in two of her films and won the Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer. MacGraw's 1970 film Love Story proved a major smash and brought her world notoriety, along with the Academy Award' nomination and a Golden Globe award. She was named the best box office star in the world after only three releases. In 1972, the Grauman's Chinese Theater signed her name with handprints, foot prints and handprints in 1972. In addition to The Getaway Convoy Players she also starred in the television miniseries The Winds of War. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography, was released. MacGraw married three people.
