In the year 2015, at age 19, she debuted her first single, Here. This single received a lot of acclaim and was well received both by critics and listeners. It peaked at number 19 on both the Canadian Hot 100 and Billboard Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone named the track one of the top Songs of 2015. In the same year, she released the album she titled Know It All, the single Scars to Your Beautiful ranked on the Billboard Hot 100 as well as the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200. The track was also one of the original five songs. The song was particularly memorable since based on her interview with Rap-Up many listeners shared their experiences of self-doubt, and her journey to learn how to accept herself. Cara is known for her messages on emotional health, kindness, and self-love into her music. The inspiration for her music comes from Cara's personal struggle to conquer mental health issues as well as insomnia. Reuters said that she described the album "half turbulent, and half finished". She tells people that she found her growth during therapy. Alessia Cara is a Canadian artist who was born July 11, 1996, to parents of Italian origin. Her parents gave her a guitar when she was 10 and this ignited her love for music.
